Salary and Benefits

The Family Medicine Residents’ salaries are as follows:*

First Year            $50,211.00

Second Year       $52,041.00

Third Year           $55,575.00

Benefits include the following:

Professional Liability Insurance
Life Insurance
Health Insurance (including dependents)
Dental Insurance (including dependents) after one year
New Jersey Licensure Fee (approx. $770)
Educational Meetings:
One week/year
$625/year educational allowance
Paid Time Off (PTO) (includes vacation, holidays, and personal time)
30 working days/year - first, second and third year residents
In house meals (approx. $2,000/year)

Convenient housing in a supportive environment is available on the Medical Center campus at a cost considerably less than housing available in the community or a rent subsidy (approximately $3,600/year).

Appointment to the program is made by participation in the National Resident Matching Program. Six openings are available each year.
